11th Congregation and 14th Matriculation
West End University College marked a significant milestone on February 28, 2026, hosting its 11th Congregation and 14th Matriculation Ceremony at the prestigious Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, Accra Ghana.
The event, themed “Harnessing Education and Entrepreneurial Ingenuity to Shape a Better Future in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” brought together graduates, freshers, faculty, and distinguished guests to celebrate academic excellence and the dawn of new professional journeys.
A Visionary Charge from the Special Guest of Honor
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Samuel Nii Odai, who served as the Special Guest of Honor. In an era increasingly defined by rapid technological shifts, Prof. Odai emphasized the critical intersection of traditional education and the burgeoning field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
He urged the graduands to not only rely on their degrees but leverage “entrepreneurial ingenuity” to remain relevant and impactful in a global economy that is being reshaped by automated intelligence.
Celebrating Academic Excellence
The congregation saw a diverse group of students receiving degrees across several key disciplines, reflecting WEUC’s commitment to bridging the gap between industry and academia.
Graduating classes included:
- Healthcare: B.Sc. in Nursing.
- Science & Technology: B.Sc. Computer Science and B.Sc. Information & Communication Technology.
- Business Administration: Specializations in Accounting, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, and Corporate Administration.
A special highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of the First Class honors recipients, whose dedication set a high standard for the incoming matriculants.
Welcoming the Next Generation
Parallel to the graduation, the 14th Matriculation Ceremony officially welcomed a new cohort of students into the WEUC family. These students took their matriculation oaths, committing to the rigorous academic standards and vibrant campus life that the university is known for.
Looking Ahead
As the graduates transition from “Academia” to “Industry,” and matriculants begin their “Purpose,” the 2026 ceremony stands as a testament to WEUC’s growing influence as a center of excellence in Ghana. The university continues to provide a “vibrant center where academics meet social activities,” ensuring that every student leaves as a well-rounded, resilient leader.
