Kasoa, Central Region – December 12, 2025 — Following our recent admission drive for the 2025/2026 academic year, the dedicated staff of West End University College (WEUC) hit the ground running with a vibrant sensitization and flyer distribution outreach on December 9, 2025.
The exercise, which targeted the busy Kasoa New Market and its surrounding environs, aimed to bridge the information gap and bring quality tertiary education opportunities closer to the local community.
Engaging the Community
The outreach team, comprised of staff from various administrative and academic departments, engaged directly with traders, commuters, and prospective students. The primary focus was to highlight WEUC’s unique program offerings, including:
- Health Sciences: B.Sc. Nursing and Midwifery.
- Business Administration: Options in Accounting, HRM, and Marketing.
- Computer Studies: B.Sc. in Computer Science and ICT.
- Education & Social Sciences: B.Ed. programs and B.Sc. in Entrepreneurship.
Key Feedback and Impact
The response from the Kasoa community was overwhelmingly positive. Many residents expressed keen interest in the college’s flexible learning schedules and its strategic location at Ngleshie Amanfro, which serves as a convenient hub for students in the Weija-Kasoa enclave.
This outreach is part of WEUC’s broader commitment to “Bridging the Gap between Industry and Academia” by ensuring that even those in the heart of our commercial centers are aware of the transformative power of a West End education.
